Quality depends on the scale you pick
A page is drawn at whatever size you ask for, and that choice decides everything about the result. At 1x the page is rendered at its own natural size, roughly 72 dots per inch, which is small and soft. At 2x it is twice the width and height, which is comfortable to read on a screen. At 3x or 4x the text is crisp enough to print, and the files are several times larger.
There is no hidden original resolution to recover. The image is created from the page description at the moment you press the button, so a small setting produces a small image and no later step can sharpen it.
Text becomes pixels
A rendered page is a picture. Words that were selectable text in the PDF are now part of the image and cannot be copied, searched or edited. Fonts, vector drawings and tables all flatten into the same grid of pixels.
If you need the text, extract it from the PDF before converting, or keep the original file alongside the images.
JPEG quality and file size
The quality setting controls how hard the JPEG encoder compresses each image. Around 85 percent suits most pages and keeps text edges clean. Dropping to 60 percent makes noticeably smaller files and can leave faint smudging around small type, which is a fair trade when the images are going into an email.
JPEG has no transparency, so every page is drawn on a white background before it is encoded.
One link per page
Every rendered page appears with a preview and its own download link, named after the source file with the page number appended. A ten-page document therefore gives you ten links, and no archive to unpack.
Use the page range option when you only want part of a long document. The syntax is the same one a print dialog uses, so 1,3,5-8 renders five pages and leaves the rest alone.

Is my PDF uploaded to convert it?
No. The file is read in your browser and every page is drawn there. Nothing is transmitted, so a statement, a contract or anything else confidential stays with you.
Which scale should I choose?
Pick 2x for reading on a screen and 3x or higher if the image will be printed or zoomed into. Lower settings produce smaller files and softer text, and the difference is permanent once the image is made.
Can I get all the pages as one zip file?
No. Each page has its own download link so the tool stays free of an archiving library. Most browsers will accept several downloads in a row without asking again.
Why can I not select the text in the image?
Because the page has been drawn as a picture. Every character is now pixels. Copy the text from the original PDF if you need it in an editable form.
Does it work on scanned PDFs?
Yes. A scanned page is already an image inside the document, and it is redrawn the same way as any other page. Picking a scale close to the original scan avoids softening it further.
