Runs entirely in your browser - nothing is uploaded

Upload an image, type a caption, and this composites the text onto the bottom of the photo, either on a semi-transparent banner or directly over the image with a drop shadow for legibility. The result exports as a PNG at the image's original resolution. Composition happens on a canvas entirely in your browser.

When you'd use this

Adding a quick caption or label bar to a screenshot, product photo, or social post image without opening a full image editor.

Labeling a batch of before/after or reference images with a short line of identifying text before sharing or archiving them.

Banner vs. shadow mode

With the background banner switched on, the caption sits on a semi-transparent bar across the bottom of the image, where it stays readable over any background. Switching the bar off adds a drop shadow behind the text instead, keeping it legible directly against the photo.

The font size slider sets the size shown in the preview, but the exported PNG scales it proportionally to the image's actual pixel dimensions, so the caption keeps the same relative size at full resolution, not just at preview size.

Frequently asked questions

Does the exported image get downscaled to the preview size?

No. The canvas export uses the image's original natural width and height, not the smaller size shown in the on-screen preview. The caption font size scales up to match, so the output stays full resolution.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

It never leaves your machine. The image is read locally with the browser's FileReader API, the caption is drawn onto a canvas on your device, and the PNG is generated and downloaded locally. Nothing goes to a server.
